Operation of an integral pressurised lift unit
Automated pressurised devices, designed for the MOVOMESH concept described, may raise the entire construction in a coordinated manner by actuating each junction intersection.
This small device may be integrated within the beam without affecting the external shape of the completed dome.
Methods of pressurising the devices to initiate a slight rise within each beam intersection include hydraulic or pneumatic pressure, combustion gases, etc.
As the assembly is flexible, synchronization is not necessary during the self-erecting process.
The process is also reversible, whereby the structure may be returned to a flat profile by controlled depressurisation of the system. Beams may be repacked and transported, and stored for re-use.
